Leah is one!

Our baby girl turned one this past weekend.  I was pretty excited for this milestone because a party is always fun!  But, now that her birthday has passed, and I am the mother of a one year old, I'm feeling a bit sad and emotional.  Oh well, I'll get over it I suppose.  Here are the pictures from her birthday party.

Cake my friend Sheena made.

Leah wondering why we were all singing.

"I love you, little cupcake"

Best cake ever!

She wanted to eat a tomato for dessert.

Penelope liked the piƱata.

Hi...I finally have a blog.

Whelp, here goes.  My first ever in my life blog post.  After many months of threatening to start a blog, I've finally done it.  Every time I'd bring it up, my cousin, Nyla, and friend, Sheena, would say "DO IT!" but the thought was a little daunting.  I don't like to write.  I don't like to tell stories.  I just get the story out in one sentence and then I'm done.  I don't see the point of all the fluffy, sometimes boring, details.  Oh well, I guess I can just post pictures.  Good thing they're worth a thousand words!

Just a little about us though.  Brad and I have been married for almost six years.  We've had our first "child" for 5.5 yrs.  She was a stray dog that we just couldn't turn away.  And we had our beautiful baby Leah last year.  It's been awesome being parents.
